Everyone deserves to feel like they have somewhere to go when they need a bit of extra support, and so as part of HOPE's mission statement, we aim to try our best to improve our communities mental health through sharing self-help techniques and building a supportive and understanding mental-health-friendly community. Student Mentorship

Learning from the experience and knowledge of others can be an incredibly insightful way to learn and we encourage this at HOPE through our Internship Program and 1-2-1 Coaching Program.

We offer opportunities for students to build on existing skills, learn new ones and explore your passion through volunteering for an important cause. We are a caring and accessibility-friendly community that consistently strive towards equity, diversity and inclusion.

Yoga & Meditation

Yoga and Meditation can provide significant benefits for your health and wellbeing.

Evidence-based techniques are important to us so we can empower young people effective tools to improve their mental health.

Scientific research conducted by Professor Norman Farb from the University of Toronto's Psychology Department shows significant benefits in improving sustained attention and mood with mindful types of yoga.

We offer the following styles of mindful yoga:

Aerial Yoga
Hatha Yoga
Yin Yoga
Meditation

Self Help Support & Resources

We have a wide range of resources available on our HOPE social media and blog pages for easy-to-read access for our youth community.

We also offer Self-Help Workshops, such as our Mental Health Awareness, Mental Health Toolbox and Accessibility and EDI (Equity Diversity & Inclusion) series.

Community Support Activities

We have hosted a variety of activities for our youth community including aerial hammock, boardgames, zentangle drawing, yin yoga and more!

At our events, you are welcome to chat about any topic and receive peer support from the community.
